Faith-Based Empowerment

Zambia Women’s Empowerment Project

The Zambia Women’s Empowerment Project focuses on providing vital resources to help women in northern Zambia sustain their families and build stronger communities. This initiative includes projects like sewing machine donations, building schools for hundreds of children, and addressing essential needs like clean water and food security. Supporting this project means contributing to meaningful change that uplifts women and their communities for generations to come.

Together, we can create opportunities for these women to thrive and improve their quality of life. Your support matters—join me in making a difference today through this powerful and impactful mission. A significant milestone in the mission work of Zambia 1st Jurisdiction has been the creation of the Young Women's Christian Council (YWCC). Known as the Crowned Daughters of Zambia 1st, this initiative is designed to nurture and empower young women in their spiritual, personal, and leadership journeys.

Constant Power Outages Assistance

  • Bibles, Computers, Cellphones and Generators are needed for the women to be able to communicate effectively and consistently with one another. There is a urgent need for generators because of the constant power outages.

Installation of a borehole

  • To provide clean water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and farming.Establishment of a water plant for purification and distribution.

Blessing Baby Girls With God's Love

  • We were able to bless over 200 baby girls in Zambia with new dresses, symbolizing God's care for each of these precious children.
  • This simple yet impactful gesture not only brought smiles but also demonstrated our care for their dignity and well-being.
  • Through this initiative, we not only clothed children in beautiful garments but also provided them with a tangible expression of Christ's love.

Monthly Planning and Supervisor-Led Projects

  • We are now scheduling our monthly Zoom meetings and working on the projects assigned by our Supervisor, Mother Maria Perryman.
  • One of the most exciting outcomes of the visit is the launch of the Sewing Circle/Artistic Fingers Auxiliary.
  • This initiative was originally established by our late Mother Lizzie Robinson and later extended to the international level by Mother Mattie McGlothen.

The Sewing Circle: Empowering Women

The Sewing Circle will serve as both encouragement and opportunity for young and older women to become seamstresses, providing them with a source of income.

  • Sewing Machines: These will be placed at the Jurisdiction headquarters, offering women training in sewing and garment-making.
  • Support System: The program will act as a support system for women to share skills, mentor one another, and grow together.
  • This initiative was launched in response to the women's request for such an opportunity, with Mother Perryman's support.

Planning Night and Leadership Establishment

As we brought these young ladies together for a night of planning, officers were established. We are grateful that Mother Suzan Metla Lekalakala Monyelo, our SADC Region Supervisor, was there to offer support and witness history in the making. We are all excited about this opportunity to share and serve God.
